Advice to a stranger

Have you ever met someone who saw things in you, you couldn’t even see yourself? I don’t believe that someone can know you better than you know yourself. They just see more than most people. But they aren’t with you all the time, they don’t know everything that’s happened, they don’t know what you deserve.

Maybe they just see things that you’ve tried so carefully to hide because that’s the only you know how to protect yourself. There’s a knot at the center, mean and tight, and you’re just waiting for someone patient enough to untie it and there at the center will be everything you have fought so hard to deny.

For once in your life, dear, let yourself  unravel.
